Workshops & Events
Our Creative Space plays host to a variety of awesome community events & workshops. Since opening in 2016 we have hosted more than 200 workshops including, calligraphy, weaving, screen printing, hand lettering, embroidery, macrame, seaglass art & lino-stamping. New projects are added often, and every effort is made to keep listings up to date. If an event you are interested in has sold out, contact the instructor and ask to be kept informed on the next date or follow us on social media @trainyardstore for updates!

We’ve partnered with Dartmouth Makers to launch Dartmouth Maker Meet Ups and would love to see you at the first one, happening in August!
Have you ever wanted to know how to get into the best juried shows? Join us on Thursday, August 8th for our first #dartmouthmakermeetup. In addition to meeting other makers, there will be a panel discussion, featuring members of the Dartmouth Makers board, sharing tips and insights to help you prepare a successful application.
This event is being held at the beautiful MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning on Queen Street in downtown Dartmouth, just around the corner from The Trainyard!
Register via eventbrite to reserve your spot as space is limited! $5 from each $10 ticket will be donated to Margaret House.
The Dartmouth Makers are a non-profit, volunteer-driven society of artists and crafts people. Our vision is to create a vibrant downtown Dartmouth arts community by creating opportunities to showcase quality work and promote local talents. Originally founded in 2014, our mission is to provide affordable crafts shows where artists, crafters and makers can market and sell their work.
