The Trainyard General Store is a place for connecting, creating & building community.

A modern take on the classic country store located in Downtown Dartmouth.

We are committed to supporting Makers & small businesses through our retail and creative space.

We love practical, whimsical, hand-crafted goods & community connections.

We carry beautiful, unique and practical goods, with the work of 200 Atlantic Canadian Makers currently represented in store. Our selection continues to grow and change weekly so there is always something new to see!

Behind our retail space you will find our bright Creative Space, where Makers lead workshops & we host community events! You can view up to date workshop listings here.  The Creative Space is also available to host community events, meetings & more.

Each month we partner with a local community organization to support their work. We promote their projects, co-host events & donate a portion of our monthly profits to help support their future work. We've been thrilled to partner with some really outstanding organizations!

We're a tad hard to find, sandwiched between the New Scotland Yard Emporium & The Portland Street Creperie in Downtown Dartmouth, NS. Our street address is on Portland Street, but our entrance is located just off the street in the parking lot stretching between Portland & Queen Street, across from Lawtons. Look for our sandwich board & bright blue pillars! Once you've found us, we're happy to help you navigate to our many awesome Downtown Dartmouth neighbours, there's lots of shopping & restaurants to explore!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, we’d love to hear from you! We’re on TwitterInstagram & Facebook.
