Cedar Everyday Wool Blend Blanket
This Indigenous inspired patterned blanket is an essential piece for everyday adventures. The size, and weight make it perfect for picnics, camping, beach trips and cuddling up on the sofa. Made by Mini Tipi, an Indigenous & Canadian female owned business based in Quebec.
This warm, soft and luxurious blanket is made from a mix of acrylic and wool for extra warmth and thickness. The oversized throw is finished with a coordinating yarn trim and a Mini Tipi suede patch for extra detail.
Materials: 10% Wool, 90% Acrylic.
Size:60 inches x 80 inches (it's big!)
Care Instructions: Wash cold, hang to dry.
About the Design: Star Quilts have been used for many generations among various Nations as gift of honour and protection. The Star Quilt design symbolizes our connection to the Universe and beyond. Nikki has incorporated the Star Quilt design as a tribute to her Nancy-baa (grandmother) , as well as Haudenosaunee SkyDome designs to honour her husband Delbert who is Mohawk and florals to honour her own Anishinaabe ancestry.
About the Artist: Nikki Shawana is a mother, wife, business woman, teacher, friend and loves to travel North America to dance and sing at Pow Wows. When it comes to making art, she follows in the footsteps of her grandparents who were talented craftspeople. Nikki enjoys making moccasins, mittens, beadwork, sweetgrass baskets and Star Quilts.
