Exchanges & Store Credit

We offer exchange or store credit within 15 days of purchase for in store and online orders. All returns must be in saleable condition and accompanied by original purchase receipt (electronic copy is ok). Sale Items, unwrapped soaps, stud earrings, food products, pay what you can, seasonal products, final sale items or those otherwise indicated are not eligible for returns. 

The t-shirt we carry are unisex cotton, they may shrink slightly on high heat - but tend to fit true to size for most folks. If you are unsure on sizing it may be best to come into the shop and try the shirt on rather than wind up with one that is the wrong fit! 

With handmade goods there is always the possibility for human error or variation between items. If an item purchased at The Trainyard breaks outside of reasonable wear & tear, or is otherwise not functional or faulty please contact us and we will make it right or connect you with the Maker for a repair. 

Please note: Ceramic mugs may crack when used with Keurig style machines; Extreme and drastic changes in temperature can shock the glaze causing cracking or breakage. If you must use with a Keurig it is recommended to slowly pre-warm the mug with warm water first to prevent shock. Mugs damaged by Keurig use will not be replaced. 

We do not offer full cash refunds as these are a loss for small scale businesses like ours. For purchases paid with Credit/Debit we pay a fee for the percentage of that sale - and to issue a return we would pay an additional processing fee ($0.20-$2+ per order). This is on top of the cost of any packaging given with the order ($0.60-1.00 per bag/tissue) or the loss if goods are no longer stocked in store. Proceeds from all sales in-store are reinvested into new stock, payroll & rent and issuing cash refunds impacts our ability to continue covering those expenses. 

If you are unsure about a purchase we encourage you to wait, confirm sizes, etc before purchasing and are happy to provide information about the product, remaining inventory, etc to help you make an informed decision before making a purchase. 

 

Shipping Your Return?  

Please email events@trainyardstore.com to confirm your purchase can be returned before mailing and so we know to expect it; Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend tracking for returns, and are not responsible for packages that do not arrive.
