This piece was created with a hand-pressed tree ring relief print of a black locust with ink illustration of a Nova Scotia fishing boat crashing through the waves with a North Atlantic right whale swimming below the surf.

The tree used for this piece was collected in Queens, Nova Scotia, Canada. The sample was collected sustainably from an already fallen tree.
