Naloxone Training & Community Workshop with Out of The Cold

Posted by Kimberley Dares on

Join us for an afternoon of learning, Rachel & Megan from Out of The Cold will be at The Trainyard to offer training on how and when to use Naloxone* to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses and how to best support or engage with folks in the case of a suspected overdose.
The second hour will be a community conversation on how we can support folks in our community who lack access to safe and secure housing. It's a chance to learn about the work Out of the Cold does to support folks at their two locations, and those sleeping rough around HRM and ways you can be a good neighbour and advocate for change.
SUNDAY MARCH 12; 1-3PM
Free to attend, though donations for Out of the Cold are happily accepted.
Masking is encouraged but not required.
Space is limited; Please call 902-407-5242 or email hello@trainyardstore.com to register and let us know if you have registered but are unable to attend so we can offer the space to someone else.
This is a project of our Community Action Team. Please get in touch if you have ideas for other projects or community outreach we could engage in!
